Hi! I am a photographer from Montgomery, Alabama, where I shoot children, seniors, and weddings. This is where I will blog about my Life, my Journeys, my Thoughts, and my Photographs.
I love my life. The most important thing in my life is my relationship with God. I have incredible friends and family. I cherish every moment I get to spend with them. I like design. I love to be creative. I like to create something from nothing. I express myself through design and creativity. I exercise, well I used to. I like to swim. I tried to play tennis. I love to make people laugh. I hate cutting grass. Chicken fingers are my favorite. I can't live without cheez-its. I love my parents. I can't wait to get married. Africa was Amazing. I want to visit Australia. My mom gave away my all time favorite beach towel. I love my grandparents. I pray daily. My sister is an amazing artist. Snowball my dog is getting old. Sydney my cat makes me sneeze. I love music. Rap I don't get. Country bores me. But everything else, is for me. I love movies. At home. Theaters cost too much. 9.50 to be exact.
Thanks for showing interest in my words, work, and where life takes me. Be sure to leave me a comment and let me know you were here.
For those of you who do not know, Erika is a co-worker of mine at KBP. What can I say– I would do anything for her. I was beyond thrilled when she told us that Her and John were expecting and of course my head starts turning ideas for her baby shower. I had 9 months to prepare and I feel like we pulled it off pretty darn well. Below are some photos of the Baby Boy themed shower we pulled off several weeks back.
I am happy to report that Baby Thomas is doing well, and is the most adorable kiddo. He has a head full of hair like his Uncle Evan.
Several Months Back RSVP Montgomery & Hello Gorgeous Photography held a model search– Winners Prize: a spread in the Magazine. I was honored to be asked to style the set for the shoot back in November. It was a blast. Below is several photos from the magazine, Hello Gorgeous Blog, behind the scenes, and the my handy ol’ iPhone. Enjoy!
I have known Carley FOREVER! Like, I said in a previous post I remember running around in Clown Costumes together in Children’s Church. Carley got Married this past weekend and I couldn’t be happier for her and Brian. Knowing her for so long, I think it was only fitting that I took her Bridal Portraits. Below is just a peek at a few of my favorites.
Best wishes to you and Brian as you start a new Journey in life.
If I have ever posted anything that has been “past due” it is the next couple of post. I turned 21 back in August and knew that I wanted to celebrate with a BANG, so I invited 168 of my closest friends and we partied all night. Thanks to everyone who came out and celebrate my 21st Birthday with me. It was a BLAST! Each of you that came out truly mean TONS to me, and I am thankful to have you there. Thanks to everyone who brought gifts, Starbucks cards (which I am still using), and My favorite of all Big Sexy Hairspray! hahaha Below are some photos from the night. Enjoy!

Merry Christmas from The Coopers. I hope each and everyone of you have a blessed Holiday Season and a Happy New Year. I look forward to 2012 being the best year yet!
I shot this little cutie and her family several months back! I can’t believe that I am just not getting around to posting it. Her parents are dear friends of our family. I did family pictures for them last year before baby Claire came along, so this go round we put a little for focus on the new edition!
Her 1st birthday is coming up in a couple weeks. It’s so hard to believe that she is already turning ONE! Below are a couple shots from her little girly girl, frou frou session. Enjoy! Be sure to leave a comment– you guys know how much I love comments!
Where do I possibly begin? Zachary Griner is a good ole’ southern boy from Ocilla Georgia. I met “Hey Arnold”, I mean Zach this year in Guatemala. He was serving as the official “Intern” to the Dave and Debbie Amsler, the Missionaries we worked with while there. It has been said many times by several people in our group that, “We felt like Zach should have come back with us.” That’s the truth. Zach is one of the most down to earth people you will meet. He’s hilarious, a huge sports fan, LOVES Zaxby’s, and most importantly– He loves the Lord! Hey Zach, remember that time you knocked over a whole self of stuff trying to show me some hair gel? He fit in so well with our group it’s kinda creepy. I think several of the girls even had a tiny crush on him too– I won’t name names. I’ll be nice.
The night before we left to head back to the states, I realized I have about 6 shots left on the roll of film in my camera– I asked Zach to meet me down stairs the next morning so I could finish it off. I was pretty pleased with the results. I think he was to! (or at least I hope he was.) haha Below are several of the shots I took that morning.
Lastly, I leave you with my favorite quote from Zach on the trip: “I have a question– Can I Hold your glasses?” -Zachary Griner
Nicole - Awww, Zack seems so cool! Great images, Evan! :)
Hillary Kelley - Hahaha!!!... I love the intro story.... And these are good pics of "Hey Arnold"... Lol
Allan Griner - Great photos! Thank you for your very kind comments about Zack. I am so very proud of my son and it makes me even prouder when others notice how wonderful he is.
genise - oh Zack!! He was indeed a great guy.:)) nice photos...
It’s 2am, Way past my bed time! I knew this was going to happen– I slept in on my day off and now I can’t sleep tonight! My alarm clock is going to get a couple “snooze” taps this THIS morning!
As I was laying in bed “trying” to fall asleep, I was listening to my iPod (which I do most evenings, instead of counting sheep or watching TV) and I randomly picked the song “We Will Run” by Gungor. I’ve heard the song numerous times, sang it over and over again while driving down the road, but it was this time I listened closely– I even pulled the lyrics up on my phone. This song is a simple, repetitive worship chorus but yet so powerful! For me it helped me understand the moment when you realize you can’t do it alone– You know you’ve messed up, you’ve sinned, you’ve done wrong but you don’t know where to go from here. The answer was right in front of me–I was singing it over and over and it never hit me, until now. Run to Him. It’s that simple. Cry out to God. Ask him to create in you a clean heart. That’s all we have to do. Turn everything over to Him. He’s greater than you. Give God your life– He’ll make it all new. The grief, the heartache, the marital problems, financial issues whatever it might be, give it to Him. He is the creator of the universe. The one who gave you life. Nothing is to difficult for him.
As most of you know I had such a wonderful opportunity to go to Guatemala this past week. I was there for 10 days. It seems like a long time, but boy did it fly by. Here’s a little peek at a few photos my Sister and I took with our iPhones with the Instagram App while we were in Guatemala –- I shot over 1000 digital photos and 7 rolls of film, plus tons of snap shots with my little point and shoot. I have a HUGE Guatemala post coming soon!! I PROMISE!
Nicole - I can't tell you how much I love this post. I want to stare at it for a very long period of time. :) I love the iphone and the camera apps! love the collagey-ness, all the colors juxtaposed - makes me happy :D
Ginger Kelley - Evan, you outdid yourself once again!!! My favorite is the one of the woman selling the necklace!!! It could win another 1st place!!
genise - love, love, love! wow, and I made the cut. LOL. My fav is the little boy with his head on your back. soo sweet! Cant wait to see the rest... do you think those will come before or after Mothers day and the beach? HA
debbie Amsler - Wow, I love it and can't wait for HUGE Guatemala story coming soon. You are awesome and I sure enjoyed meeting you and the rest of your family. Note to self "missionaries should always sit looking nice no matter how bad you hurt because SOMEONE HAS ALWAYS GOT A CAMERA." Got that out of my system thanks.
I love the picts.
peach.
LLT - Wow, Evan. Just wow. They're breath taking. They make me want to be there. Isn't the iPhone such a little gem? Such an accessible way to share the really, truly special moments in life and in such beautiful form. I can't wait to see the film, the true artistic medium ;) So happy for you that you're able to experience these wonderful journeys! Not to mention the creative energy and love your spreading far and wide! Keep on doing You, Cooper.
Joy Portis - These are amazing! Stunning! Can't wait to see the rest! At some point we must go serve together! What group did you go with?
It was this time last year I was headed to the Canary Islands for our All Church Mission Trip. Every trip I go own is unique in it’s own way. The Canaries were beautiful– it was like nothing I have ever seen. Bright Colors, textures, and incredibly genuine people who were hungry to hear the word of God.
Missionaries to the Canaries, Larry and Melinda Henderson are speaking tomorrow morning at our Church (Melinda grew up in our church). When I heard they were coming to speak, It hit me– I have never posted any of these photos from my trip. No one has ever seen them. It’s been a whole year and I haven’t posted these? Am I crazy?? Below are several photos from my trip last June– So many bright colors, and different textures. It really expresses the beauty of the Canaries. Enjoy! Let me know what you think– Be sure to leave me a comment and let me know you were here.
*On a side note: I will be heading to Guatemala this next week– keep a look out for a sneak peek post while I’m away. If your interested in minute by minute updates from the moment I hop on the plane, to the moment I land in Guatemala– Follow me on Twitter and Facebook.
Nicole - I have never wanted to go to Spain more than I do right now after seeing these glorious images. I love the way you put them together too-very artsy and colorful. LOVE.
genise - love them... Im going back one day:)
Amy Argo - Makes me miss the Canaries! The thing that struck me most about the landscape was the colors and doors and windows, too ;)
