Amy and Phelps

I know! I know! This wedding took place in September of 2012. Give me a break. I’m playing catch up on the whole blogging thing.

I met Amy and her Mother months back through a past sweet, sweet bride. I don’t think I have met a sweeter family. I remember our first initial consult like it was yesterday. We met at Starbucks (where at the fantastic event planners meet. Haha). The thing I remember most is  sitting through that meeting praying that I landed the gig– knew there was something special about his family.  Long story short, I got the job and we started planning immediately.  Amy was your typical girly girl. She wanted pink, and LOTS OF IT! I have to admit I was rather nervous about all the pink she asked for– Pink flowers, pink dresses, pink lighting, pink chair sashes. PINK EVERYTHING! I suggested we mix in different shades of pink, but Amy was persistent and wanted everything the same shade pink.  I have got to give it to her, she knew what she wanted and it all turned out beautifully. So happy they chose Evan and Company to be a part of such a special day.

I love happy Brides, but what wedding Planner doesn’t love a happy Mother of the Bride more?!? I smiled from ear to ear when I read this note Mrs. Virginia sent me.  This is one of those letters that’s in a special folder on my computer. When I have a bad day or receive a nasty email, I pull emails like this back and remember why I do what I do.

“I cannot begin to express to you my gratitude for all your hard work and creativity that went into making Amy’s wedding the most beautiful one I have ever seen!    So many have expressed to me the same sentiment and that it represented Amy perfectly!!    The flowers were exactly what Amy wanted, the draping and lanterns made it look like a real life Fairy Tale, the rose petals were perfectly placed along the walkway, the reception area under the tent “wowed” the beholder, the buffet centerpiece was over the top beautiful….on and on and on.

Evan, I wish for you a bright and happy future doing what you love and are well suited for.  May God bless you and your loved ones. “

HUGE thanks to my team for helping pull this wedding off. I couldn’t have done it with out Sharon and Hillary. They totally rocked it. Chair sashes and all!

Amy looked stunning. I couldn’t help but give her a “hollywood kiss”.

  1. Oh Evan, all I can say is you nailed it!
That wedding was soooo Amy….every single detail.
I’ve watched Amy grow up and I had heard about her “dream” wedding for years and this was absolutely everything she wanted. Plus, it was PINK!
Each and everything you did only enhanced her sweetness and beauty.
(She does take after her mother….and her mother writes the sweetest notes)

    • Oh Mrs. Prissy! You are too sweet!!! Thank you so much for throwing my name out there! You made it happen!!! Say hello to that little grand baby for me!
