#EGCgetsfit: I Lost a Bag of Potatoes

Friday was a good day. Actually it was a GREAT day, Why? Because I finally hit an #egcgetsfit milestone. I’ve officially lost 10 pounds. Yes, ladies and gentlemen you’ve heard right– TEN POUNDS!! That’s an entire bag of potatoes.  2014-02-08_0006 If you follow me on Instagram you are well aware of my “almost” weekly #egcgetsfit posts. My friends and I sat out at the beginning of January to get in shape. We were tired of being over weight. So far so good– We’ve been pretty successful. I think I am most proud of the fact that I have lost 10 pounds doing it the right way. Exercise and Eating properly. I have tons of folks trying to get me to try this shake and this powder and this 20 day challenge blah blah blah, but I refuse. EGC is doing it the right way!

For those that are interested, I do at least an hour of cardio a day. The treadmill is my best friends. I run afternoon while watching the Ellen Show. I also rotate 3 days a week with weights. It’s not easy, I’m not even going to lie. Somedays I would much rather eat a cheeseburger and drink a coke (ok! I might have once or twice) but discipline is the key to weight loss success.   2014-02-08_0005 Thanks so much to everyone who has been supportive along my journey thous far. I’ve got a ways to go, but I’m well on my way! I can’t wait to try out some of those yummy recipes you guys have emailed me. A HUGE thanks to my friends for holding me accountable.
