Hey Mama

Those that know me, know I’m a Mama’s boy, 100%. There’s no changing it. Always have been, always will be. Mom was unable to join us this year in Chile and I’m not gonna lie, I miss her. I’m still trying to figure out where to go when I run out of cheese its and chap stick.

While sitting here in my hotel Room in Concepcion Chile, missing my Mama, I was trying to figure out how I could tell her exactly how much I miss. Of course I could post TONS of pictures, give her an insta shout out or even FaceTime her every night, but I found a better option…

I was scrolling through my YouTube page trying to find a video to show someone and stumbled across this video I recorded a couple weeks ago. It pretty much sums up my feelings for my Mama.

Mama, I miss you. More than you know. I’ll be home next Tbursday. YOU CAN DO IT! Say hello to Ingrid for me and make sure my room is vacuumed. 😉

50

Saturday, June 6th marked a HUGE millstone for Evan and Company. We celebrated our 50th Wedding. It’s hard to believe that 2 years ago I decided to leave my full time job and take a leap of faith. View More: http://nickdrollette.pass.us/evans50 I’m not gonna lie, it’s been tough. Really tough. Running a business is hard. Being a boss is hard. Hustling to make ends meet it hard but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Being able to live out my dream is feeling like no other. If you would’ve asked be 3 years ago if I thought I would be were I am today, I would’ve told you No. Maybe even a HECK NO. I was content shooting weddings (as a photographer) and being a full time studio manager at KBP.  View More: http://nickdrollette.pass.us/evans50 I had always dream of running  by own business. Mom worked briefly in a flower shop when I was younger, so I grew up tagging along some afternoons. My sister is an incredible artist. She can draw and paint like nobodies business and my Dad is a handy carpenter/builder/Mr. Fix-It, so I always imagined that my career path would in someway be creative, but no necessarily a floral and event designer.  View More: http://nickdrollette.pass.us/evans50 In honor of our 50th Wedding we pulled together a super fun shoot to celebrate. Complete with champagne, glittery hats, party horns a TONS of balloons. View More: http://nickdrollette.pass.us/evans50 We have some pretty exciting things in the works for Evan and Company and can’t wait to share them with you guys. If all goes at planned our NEW (teeny tiny) retail space should be opened (Fingers Crossed) by July.  View More: http://nickdrollette.pass.us/evans50 Thanks to everyone from the bottom of my heart who has shared in my journey, cheered me on and continued to support and believe in me. I know it sounds cliche, but it means more than you know. I couldn’t do what I do without the FANTASTIC clients that put their trust in us. Happy 50th Evan and Co.  View More: http://nickdrollette.pass.us/evans50

Today’s Favorite Thing is probably my MOST FAVORITE Thing of all time– a Gap gift card. $75.00 for you to spend anyway you choose.  If you know me, you know I’m a brand whore, Or at least that’s what my friends tell me. My umbrella is even Gap. I have been shopping at Gap for years. My parents even dressed me in Baby gap when I was a wee one.  Most recently I was offered a position at Gap for Visuals and Styling… I honestly didn’t need another job, Evan and Company keeps me more than busy but I just couldn’t pass up that discount. 😉  The promo pics I shot for Favorite Things, My entire outfit came from Gap even my socks and underwear. Ok, you didn’t need to know that, but It’s true. I’m telling you I’m Obsessed. Their Slim fit jeans are the best! I have 4 pairs. See, I LOVE The Gap and want to share it with you this Christmas.

Today’s Favorite Thing is a weakness of mine, Seriously. I could eat myself sick. If you know me, you already know OREOS are my FAVORITE cookie of all time. BUT, Chocolate Covered Oreos are a MUST around the holiday season. And, well all year long. 😉 For about 7 years I’ve been receiving them in a gift basket from a family friend and it’s my favorite part. Forget the cashmere sweater I got Last year, I went straight for the Oreos.
