Taylor + Taylor

Yup! You heard right! Taylor and Taylor said I do!  Isn’t that the cutest? Matching names! I wonder if I could find an Evan to marry?! That might be a bit much for the world to handle!

According to girl Taylor, Evan and Company came highly recommend from her sweet, sweet friends Heather and Ivey! I’m so thankful they put in a good word. I enjoyed every second of planning their wedding. They exchanged vows with a small private family only ceremony and reception at Wynfield Estate late September.

Her dress was gorgeous and fit her like a glove, but can we talk about those Kate Spade heels? That Bow, those straps = PERFECTION!

2014-11-09_0041 I’m a man of many talents, I wouldn’t put bow tying at the top of that list, but I’m pretty good at it. #whataman 2014-11-09_0042 I knew from our initial meeting with Taylor that Courtnie of Poppy Pedals had to design her invites. The fit and style of her work was PERFECT for Taylor and Taylor’s wedding.  2014-11-09_0043 Bride and Grooms usually have mixed feelings about a “First Look”. But when they agree to it, it’s pretty much perfect. Boy Taylor’s face is priceless.  2014-11-09_0044 Taylor’s eyes got water-y when she saw her bouquet. As a designer it made my heart happy. I used seeded eucalyptus as the base and used ivory roses, veronica, white ranunculus and lisanthus to create the finished piece. Of course no bouquet is compete without long hanging satin ribbons.  2014-11-09_0045

2014-11-09_0062 We adorned the doors of the conservatory with fresh cut wreaths and garland. 2014-11-09_0047 Isn’t her Bridal stunning? I mean… PERFECTION!!  2014-11-09_0048

2014-11-09_0050 When I get married I want engraved cufflinks. So classy! But I wouldn’t expect anything less from boy Taylor. 2014-11-09_0058

2014-11-09_0052 a beautiful small intimate ceremony for Taylor and Taylor’s family.  2014-11-09_0055 This was one of my favorite elements from the day. That cross, the flowers and the table… OBSESSED!  2014-11-09_0056 I LOVE when I get a chance to share in a room reveal with a Bride and Groom before all of their guest arrive. It’s safe to say girl Taylor LOVED it.  2014-11-09_0051

2014-11-09_0059 Simplicity is always best. I couldn’t more thrilled with out everything turned out. Just gorgeous! The perfect about of classic elegance.  2014-11-09_0054 Because every Bride and Groom needs His and Her chairs.  2014-11-09_0060

2014-11-09_0061 You know it’s not a true southern wedding without a Peggy McKinney Cake. It was delicious as always.  2014-11-09_0053 Biodegradable confetti for the win! Don’t you like my photobomb up there?  2014-11-09_0065 I am a better person having worked with Taylor and Taylor. It was nothing but joy from day one we met and I can’t thank you enough for believing in me and trusting us to make your special day extraordinary. Please tell Newt I said hello! 😉 2014-11-09_0066 Oh yea, for all you “pincers” don’t forget to hover over the image and click “Pin”. Share Away!

Stacy + Ryan

Well Hellol! It’s been a while, huh? We have been going, going, going with no time to breath. I am currently sitting on the beach catching up on some blogging, emails and upcoming wedding plans. I know, I’m suppose to be on vacation but I can’t help it. It’s a good thing I LOVE what I do, right?

I wanted to share one of my FAVORITE weddings of this year so far. We pulled together this coral- peachy dream for Stacy this past March.  I remember my first meeting with Stacy, it was pre Evan and Company office days at Ole’ Starbucks. From that moment I knew it was gonna be a great one. Her and her sister were two of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet. After months and months of planning, lots of phone calls, texts messages and a few tear that special day finally arrived. We loaded up and headed to Selma, Alabama. Below are a few of our Fave shots from their big day.

Michael and Elyse

Ok! Before I begin I must warn you– this couple is SMOKIN’ HOT! Ok you’ve been warned….

I remember sitting down to meet with Elyse, her Mom and best friend Amanda at Starbucks (pre- office days) just like it was yesterday!  The entire meeting I was praying in my head that she would hire me. Why? They’re genuine personalities. From the moment I met Elyse and Mrs. Cindy I knew I wanted to work with them. Not only because  it was going to be a “good wedding”, but I knew I would be blessed in return.

The Darnell family is pure joy. I don’t think I have ever laughed harder, cried with someone and been mad all in the same day. Mr. Noel and Mrs. Cindy wanted nothing but the best for their daughter’s big day and it certainly showed. Elyse, her brother and sister are lucky to call them parents. I can’t say it enough, but they’re two of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet. Oh, and Mrs. Cindy makes a mean strawberry cake. I’ve already but in an order for my birthday! 😉

Welcome to Darnell Mountain.

How to Address Wedding Invitations

Hey Ya’ll! I hope everyone had a Fantastic Veterans Day Holiday! I know I sure did enjoy laying low and having the day off. It was the a Perfect Monday complete with a new episode of NBC’s The Blacklist. Did you see last night’s episode? OMG! OMG!!

Ok, Back to the reason we’re here…

Being in the wedding industry and having planned over 20 weddings this past year I have been asked numerous times, “How do you properly address wedding invitations?”. Some Brides budgets don’t allow for them to hire a calligrapher but still want to make sure addressing her invites is done properly. My friends over a Kim Box Photography host a feature post each week on their blog titled, “Wedding Wednesday”. A couple weeks back it was all about the process of addressing invitations. Since the post, I have sent it to 2 brides who have asked that infamous question. Kara of Kara Anne Paper created these awesome graphics to give Brides a prettier visual of how it should be done.

“Remember it’s important to include the children’s names on the inner envelope. If you do not, guest will assume that only adults are invited. If you invitations do not include inner envelopes it is acceptable to include their names on the outer envelope. Children under 18 can be included on their parents invitation. If they are over the age of 18 and still living at home it is best to send he or she their on invitation.”, Kara Says!

Addressing invitations to Couples or Families is actually the easy part. Addressing Invitations to a Doctor, can be a little tricky. Kara created another graphic to make sure everyone is on the same page and gets those invites addressed just right.

I hope this quick post was a helpful  “how to” to all you Brides to be. Be sure to keep an eye out on Wedding Wednesday from Kim Box Photography– Exciting post from local Planners, Calligraphers, Designers and there’s always pretty pictures too! Happy Tuesday!
